The Undertaker Reacts To Rey Mysterio Visiting Eddie Guerrero’s Grave For The First Time

Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio

In an emotional Instagram post, Rey Mysterio shared that on Monday, he visited the grave of his longtime friend Eddie Guerrero for the first time since the legendary wrestler’s passing in 2005.

Mysterio had difficulty making the trip to Guerrero’s final resting place in Scottsdale, Arizona, due to the strong memories from the day of his passing. Although Rey was bombarded with powerful emotions during his visit, he left feeling a strong connection to his longtime friend and tag team partner.

“Always had a hard time wanting to visit Eddie & found myself cowardly refusing it due to the pain & memories from that day………Finally this past Monday, after 13yrs, I had the courage to visit him and have a one on one moment with him…. & …….exactly what I feared of happening, happened. Memories from that day were flashing through my head but his presence was much stronger and was able to cope and maintain my composure,” Mysterio wrote.

“After my conversation & connection with him I left with a Huge internal Smile and felt a soothing & peaceful ♥️! Eddie has been such an inspiration not only to me but to many & will always continue to do so. I witnessed that day, that future wrestlers who never had the opportunity to meet him took the time to stop by and pay their respects wishing they would of had the honor and privilege to have met him & been around him like many of us did!

“I truly miss you WeeWeeto!”

Mysterio’s post drew a lot of support from his peers in the wrestling industry, including The Undertaker.

In a rare Instagram comment from “The Deadman,” he wrote, “Very proud of you Rey…as I’m sure Eddie is as well! Your a good man!”

Undertaker’s wrote “your” instead of “you’re,” leading to users correcting him on his spelling mistake, and then fans defending him.

The post also drew replies from Eddie’s wife, Vickie, and nephew, Chavo. However, we can’t find the exact posts since Vickie and Chavo don’t have verified accounts. Vickie thanked Rey with a loving post. Chavo thanked Rey but admitted that like him before, he hasn’t visited Eddie’s grave yet.
