WWE Reportedly Signs Women’s Wrestler After Tough Enough Audition and Tryout

WWE has signed Texas independent wrestler Victoria Gonzalez, according to Casey of SquaredCircleSirens. Gonzalez, who was profiled by The Mirror last month, is a second-generation wrestler as her father Rick was a Texas indie wrestler. He used the name Speedy Gonzalez or Rick “Desperado” Gonzalez for years.

The 6-foot-1, 24 year old contacted WWE with a Tough Enough audition tape and was brought to the WWE Performance Center this past May, despite not making the television show.

After a successful high school basketball career, Gonzalez began training under father and others, including George de la Isla at America’s Academy of Pro Wrestling in Austin, TX and Rudy Boy Gonzalez of the Texas Wrestling Academy in San Antonio, formerly the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy.
