New WWE Signings

It was reported in October 2014 that WWE had signed Zahra Schreiber (professional model and tour manager from Saginaw, Michigan) and Gionna Daddio (a Hooters worker/model from New Jersey) after participating in a tryout in June. Both women have reported to Orlando, Florida and were in attendance at Thursday’s WWE NXT taping at Full Sail University in Winter Park.

These three men have been identified as Sunny Dhinsa (left), Dustin Mueller (center) and Josh Woods (right).

Mueller posted the above photo on Instagram, and wrote, “The Future of the WWE. Myself and my new teammates, they also got signed with me! Going to me an amazing journey!! #TheFuture #WWE #WWENXT #Orlando #wrestlers #lifeisgood #wealllift #nxtlive #fullsail.”

Dhinsa, an amateur wrestler, had been on WWE’s radar since 2013. He had been training for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil with the idea that he would join WWE afterwards.

“[WWE] scouted two young amateur wrestlers and brought them for a tryout recently, Sunny Dhinsa from Canada and Tyrell Fortune from the U.S.,” said WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco in an interview last year. “They both want to become WWE Superstars, but now they might want to stick around to perform at the Olympics, which is a great thing as they will be known internationally before coming to the WWE.”

Mueller, who calls himself the “Windy City Mutant” on social media, is a 6-foot 6-inch musclehead from Chicago, Illinois with no wrestling or collegiate/professional sports background. On Twitter and Instagram, he promotes himself as a “sponsored ambassador” for the supplement brand MUTANT, which “provides bodybuilders with the nutrients they need to make rapid gains lean muscle mass, strength and power.”

Josh Woods was a successful collegiate amateur wrestler at the University of Central Florida. He has some experience in mixed martial arts and was a wrestling coach at The Jungle, the largest mixed martial arts and gym in Orlando, Florida. His bio on their website reads: “Josh is our head wrestling coach with more than 10 years wrestling and accomplishment such as 2011 NCWA National Champion, South Eastern Conference Champion and 2012 as a NCWA 2 x All American and National Runner-up and 2 x South Eastern Conference Champion. Currently at UCF (the University of Central Florida), Josh started his freshman year of wrestling off strong and continued all through season to become the first national champion since The Jungle’s very own, Tom Lawlor. Soon after that season ended Josh ended up training with Tom and began to coach wrestling at The jungle. Josh made his MMA splash recently where he has won his first two fights in impressive fashion!”
