Alexa Bliss Suffers Arm Injury, Braun Strowman Gets New Mixed Match Challenge Partner For Tonight

As first revealed by Cathy Kelley, Alexa Bliss suffered an arm injury at the hands of Ronda Rousey during their Raw Women’s Championship Match at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. With Bliss sidelined, Ember Moon will now join forces with Braun Strowman to take on the hard-hitting team of Kevin Owens and Natalya.

After her match against “The Baddest Woman on the Planet,” Bliss began to complain of soreness on Monday before waking up with numbness in her left arm this morning. After seeking medical attention, Alexa received word that she is not cleared for WWE Mixed Match Challenge or live events this weekend. Accordingly, Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin decided to replace the five-time Women’s Champion with Ember Moon as Strowman’s tag team partner for tonight.

Kelley said, “Despite appearing on Monday Night Raw last night, Alexa Bliss woke up this morning and sought medical attention complaining about numbness in her left arm. Now as a reminder, Alexa had a match against the Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey this past Sunday night at WWE Hell in a Cell where Alexa tapped to the champion’s armbar. We can officially announce at this time that Alexa Bliss has not been medically cleared to compete at the WWE live events this weekend or in tonight’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

“Now I got a word in with Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin and he announced that Alexa Bliss’ replacement would be none other than Ember Moon. So tonight we will see Braun Strowman team up with Ember Moon to take on Kevin Owens and Natalya in WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge season two, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern on Facebook Watch.”
