Backstage News On WWE Changing Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin’s Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match

Though Braun Strowman has been sidelined with an injury, Baron Corbin has made it clear that their match at WWE TLC will go on as planned. According to Corbin, he will become the Permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw if and when “The Monster Among Men” is not medically cleared to compete.

It is quite likely that Strowman will be unable to wrestle at WWE TLC, which takes place on Sunday, December 16. According to WrestleVotes, WWE is preparing to turn the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match with Corbin into a multi-man match if Strowman cannot compete.

The match would be similar to a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match that took place at TLC 2012, where The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns) beat Ryback and Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) in a six-man contest.

WWE announced Tuesday night that Strowman underwent successful elbow surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Further details, including a timetable for his return to the ring, weren’t provided.

Strowman also tweeted after having surgery:

F4WOnline.com reported last week that Strowman would be undergoing surgery for bone spurs in his right elbow and that Strowman’s match at TLC was at risk. The extent of the damage to Strowman’s elbow and the timetable for his return wouldn’t be known until surgeons opened his elbow up.

WWE explained Strowman’s injury with an angle last week on Raw where Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre attacked him and smashed his elbow between two sets of steel steps.
