Fresh off last week’s blood-drawing confrontation with Vince McMahon on SmackDown LIVE, Kevin Owens explained in an interview why the angle means a lot to him.
“That was my first time being in the ring with Vince McMahon,” Owens told The Pueblo Chieftan. “For a lifelong WWE fan, it was pretty special — definitely a moment in my career I never really thought would happen and one that I will remember for a very long time.
“And one I think Vince will remember as well.”
Owens did the interview to promote WWE’s first live event in Pueblo, Colorado in 11 years, which takes place at the Southwest Motors Events Center on Monday, Oct. 2. For someone who has wrestled across the globe, Owens said that in his eyes, smaller markets have their own special appeal.
“I do really do enjoy going to smaller towns like Pueblo,” he said. “And I often wonder why we don’t get to do it more often.
“WWE Live is a spectacle like no other. So if the Pueblo fans want us to come back more, you should come on out and be loud, because WWE will take notice.”
