What The Natalya Injury Angle Is Supposed To Lead To

Natalya

The Riott Squad’s vendetta against Natalya continued this week on Raw as the trio ambushed “The Queen of Harts” during the start of the opening match, a tag team bout pitting Natalya and Ronda Rousey against Nia Jax and Tamina.

Nia and Tamina made quick work of “The Baddest Woman on the Planet,” and Natalya was left to The Riott Squad’s mercy. Following a 3-on-1 attack, The Riott Squad positioned the former SmackDown Women’s Champion on the apron and drove her through a table they brought to ringside.

Alexa Bliss immediately sent The Riott Squad home, but that wasn’t enough for Rousey, who demanded a match with Nia and Tamina. And, unwilling to leave the selection of her partner to “The Goddess,” the Raw Women’s Champion declared she’d find one herself.

Later in the show, Rousey picked Ember Moon, and they beat Jax and Tamina in the main event.

There has been speculation on Natalya’s in-ring status following the injury angle. According to POSTWrestling.com, she is not actually injured. The angle is supposed to lead to a match at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on Sunday, December 16, although the specifics have yet to be decided.

Natalya also wrestled at today’s WWE Tribute to the Troops taping in Fort Hood, Texas as she teamed with Rousey against Jax and Tamina. The show airs on Thursday, December 20 on the USA Network.
