— Rey Mysterio is “praying” he’ll be fit to compete at WrestleMania 35 following an injury scare during his match with Baron Corbin on Monday.

Mysterio took to Instagram to share footage of the spot that caused his ankle to buckle beneath him and wrote, “Suffered an injury on my right ankle this past Monday night on Raw against [Baron Corbin]. Praying to be ready for Mania this Sunday!”

Mysterio’s injury was announced before SmackDown LIVE on Tuesday as he was scheduled to take on Andrade. It was said he’d be re-evaluated again before it’s determined if his scheduled match against Samoa Joe for the United States Championship on Sunday would still take place.

In this video WWE posted online, Joe wonders if Mysterio is really injured heading into WrestleMania, or if he’s just scared to get in the ring with him.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Mysterio is legitimately injured.
