Oney Lorcan Injury Update – How Long Will He Be Out Of Action?

Oney Lorcan

Arguably the best match of the night at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II on June 16 was Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch’s attempt at winning the NXT Tag Team Championship from Undisputed ERA’s Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. They were unsuccessful in their attempt, but Lorcan was the clear MVP of the match with his tremendous efforts.

Unfortunately, it cost Oney dearly as he suffered a broken orbital bone.

On this week’s episode of NXT, Mauro Ranallo brought up the match to say that Lorcan suffered an injury from the hellacious battle (he did not mention Oney suffering a broken orbital bone). WWE then cut to Cathy Kelley conducting an interview with Burch, who gave an update on his partner’s condition. Burch said it will be about three months before they’re in the hunt again for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Lorcan underwent surgery on Tuesday and posted this photo from his hospital bed.
