WWE Releases A Second Generation Developmental Wrestler

Posted by PWPIX on 01/09/2009

WWE released developmental wrestler Mike Kruel on Friday.

Kruel had been in developmental for quite some time (approximately two and a half years), but was unable to breakthrough to the main roster.

Kruel was one of the top technical indy wrestlers in the northeast when he signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in July 2006.

During his time under contract to WWE, Kruel won the OVW Heavyweight Championship and OVW Television Championship.

Kruel is the son of 1990s northeastern indy wrestler Bodyguard For Hire.
