In light of WWE's latest round of cuts, there is definite interest on TNA's part in at least two performers. As many would expect, they are Shelton Benjamin and Mickie James.
There has already been preliminary dialogue between Benjamin and TNA. Kurt Angle is expected to push for Benjamin and Charlie Haas, who he was friends with in WWE when they partnered together as Team Angle. Benjamin is considered the most likely of the released stars to end up in TNA.
Regarding James, it is highly likely she will join TNA providing she decides to continue wrestling. She has yet to publicly indicate whether she will continue in the industry.
TNA officials have also began talks with Jimmy Wang Yang, who previously wrestled for the organization several years ago. Some have noted Yang leaving TNA on bad terms as he no-showed a pay-per-view date when he signed with WWE for a second time. However, it's been noted as a thing of the past as it occurred many years ago and almost everyone in management wasn't around then.
Regarding Mike Knox, Slam Master J and Funaki, there is said to be no interest in all three.
For those curious of Katie Lea, reaction to her has yet to be disclosed.
